Are You a Carer?

Do you help a family member or friend or neighbour with any of the following:

  • Practical tasks: cooking, housework or shopping
  • Physical Care: lifting, support with walking or exercise
  • Personal Care: dressing, washing, helping with toileting.
  • Financial help: banking and benefits
  • Medical help: administering medication, attending doctors/hospital appointments. 
  • Emotional support.

If you provide long term unpaid care for someone who could not manage without your assistance you may be a Carer and entitled to help and support.

Register with us as a Carer

We may be able to help you and ensure that your own health needs are met in the most appropriate way. To do this please register with us as a carer:

Please let us know if your circumstances have changed and you are no longer a carer so we can keep our records up to date.

Do you know a young carer?

Young Carers are children under 18 years old who look after someone with a learning disability, long term illness, physical disability, drug or alcohol misuse problems or a mental health issue.
