About our Appointments System

There may be times when you may need urgent access to your GP service. To be seen on the day please call 0208 764 0407 (select option 2). To help patients to access an appropriate consultation you will be offered a telephone consultation with our Duty Doctor who will assess your needs. Our reception team will take your details including a contact number and the reason for your call. Please be aware that the Duty Doctor may offer you an appointment for later that morning at short notice. Appointments offered are for one problem only.

The Doctor will call you back between 8am and 10:30am so it is important to keep your phone to hand if possible as they may not be able to call you back more than once.

We offer routine appointments with our GP's which can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance. These can be booked in person at our reception desk, over the phone please call 0208 764 0407 (option 2) or on line using Patient Access (See above). You will need to register to use our on line service. Routine appointments are usually 10 minutes long and for one problem. If you have multiple problems you may want to ask for a double appointment to give yourself adequate time to discuss your concerns with the GP.

We appreciate that sometimes you may forget, run late or no longer need the appointment but this represents 10 hours of GP time wasted and 60 appointments that could have been given to other patients.

If you are running late please ring reception and let them know when you expect to arrive. We allow 5 minutes for lateness but any more would cause delays for the patients who follow.

If you can no longer keep your appointment please leave a message on our cancellation line 0208 764 0407 (option 1), or tell us online - See below.

Evening Appointments

We are pleased to offer evening appointments on Thursday with a GP and a Practice Nurse. These appointments can be booked up to six weeks ahead and are for routine appointments. They are ideally suited for commuters and others who have difficulty in coming to the surgery during our normal opening hours.

Telephone Consultations

We offer routine telephone consultations with a GP for discussion of test results.

Advice is also available from the NHS 111 service by calling 111 from your landline or mobile phone.

If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. You may wish to bring along a member of your family or friend to your appointment. For further information please see our Chaperones policy.

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to attend for your appointment we expect at least 24 hours notice, except in extreme cases, so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.
