PRACTICE NURSES
The Surgery has a team of Practice Nurses and a Health Care
Assistant. You
can have an appointment to see the nurse without seeing a Doctor, but she may
need to consult a Doctor about your problem if she feels it appropriate. Their
hours vary according to the clinics or visits on any particular day, but the
receptionists will advise you of the details as required.
Blood tests, ECGs, ear syringing, dressings, removal of
sutures, general health advice, etc. can be arranged with the practice nurse.
They also have access to the latest recommendations for foreign travel
vaccinations, and are able to administer any you may need. WE ARE AN APPOINTED
YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CENTRE. (Please note that patients may be required to
pay some charges for non-routine or travel vaccinations - the nurse can advise
you of these). Please give us as much notice as possible before travel to book
for your travel vaccinations as some vaccinations may take some time to be
effective and some are not always readily available.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Dorrie Carmichael is available to help with any non-medical
problems, or to receive any suggestions or complaints regarding the services
offered by this surgery.
