Life Threatening Emergencies:

In a life-threatening emergency such as sudden severe chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of power in a limb, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding dial 999.

Injuries:

The surgery is equipped to treat minor injuries like small cuts and joint sprains. If the injury is more severe or may involve a broken bone then you should attend the local minor injuries unit at the Mayday University Hospital or St Georges Hospital (Tooting) A+E Dept.

Also in the event of poisoning or overdose the attend the local A+E

Urgent Problems during Surgery Hours:

If you have an urgent problem during surgery hours call the surgery on 020 8764 0407. The receptionist will need to take some details about the problem and arrangements will be made for you to be seen by the doctor as soon as possible.

Urgent Problems outside Surgery Hours:

Outside normal hours, a Doctor is available for medical emergencies only.

NHS Direct, a 24 hour nurse led telephone advice service is also available for any medical problems that you may wish to discuss. Call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.

Walk-in Centres are available for patients over the age of 5. One is situated in the car park of St.George’s Hospital and another at 45 High Street Croydon. These centres are open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 10.00pm. Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays they are open from 9.00am to 10.00pm. No appointments are needed for these centres.
