PATIENT COMPLAINT PROCEDUREIn the event of a complaint it will be dealt with as quickly as possible. We will send a written acknowledgement within two working days and when possible a detailed written response within ten working days. To help us to do this we request you to complete a complaint form and give it to the Doctor or Manager. You will be asked to discuss the matter with the Doctor if you wish and you may bring a friend with you. If you are unhappy with the outcome of this procedure you may approach your local Community Health Council (CHC) or, alternatively, request an independent review of your complaint by the Health Authority for your area, such a request must be made within 28 days. You can obtain the names and addresses of the CHC from the surgery. |
